About MedSpa List
What MedSpa List lists, what it leaves to clinics, and how to check a provider’s license yourself before Botox, laser work or surgery.
Plenty of people book Botox, a package of laser sessions, a weight loss injection or even a breast augmentation after an ad on social media or a daily deal. Neither tells you who will hold the syringe or the laser, or whose license the clinic works under. MedSpa List groups the med spas and related clinics of large US cities by what they do, so you can weigh up several of them before booking a consultation.
What the lists cover
Six kinds of clinic, each listed by city: med spas, laser hair removal clinics, medical weight loss clinics, IV therapy clinics, men’s health clinics and plastic surgeons. HydraFacial, Morpheus8, CoolSculpting and laser tattoo removal get a separate page in any city with enough clinics doing them. Within a med spa list, filter buttons pick out Botox, lip and dermal fillers, microneedling, chemical peels or body contouring. Every clinic also gets a page of its own showing its treatments, its address, its opening hours and, where its website lists them, a few prices.
Cities and state rules
The lists cover large cities across the country, from New York, Boston and Miami to Houston, Denver, Las Vegas and Seattle, and more are added over time. Med spas are regulated by each state, not by one national rule, so a treatment a nurse may give in one state can need a physician or a nurse practitioner in the next. The medical board and the board of nursing of your state set out what applies where you live.
What we do not do
We are not a clinic, and nothing on MedSpa List is medical advice. Whether a procedure is right for you, how it will turn out and what it ought to cost are questions for a provider who has seen you. We book no appointments and never charge patients. We also do not verify every provider’s license or every clinic’s permits ourselves, though our How we select page shows how you can. Any arrangement you make with a clinic is yours and the clinic’s alone.
How the site is paid for
Reading the site is free. Our income comes from clinics that pay a set price, by the year or by the month, for Pro or Top on their page, and those plans are offered only once a clinic has passed our selection. Both are always labeled. We show no ads and take no commission on any treatment.
